The Paisley Floral Garland stencil can be used as a flower string design along horizontal surfaces or repeated to create a high impact chintz look. The paisley shape synonymous with traditional Indian designs is inspired by the tropical mango – but named after the town of Paisley in Scotland (where many Kashmiri shawls were made). Paint in hot, spicy Chalk Paint® colours or indigo Oxford Navy to channel the Paisley Floral Garlands Annie was inspired by in Rajasthan.
Tips
- For an understated or Classy look, try layering colors that are in similar tones, or that stay within the same family. Think monochormatic color theme.
- For an Artesanal, Folk Art look: Combine bold colors on White or Navy, or Black will create a fun folk art.
- Chinosiserie: Napoleonic Blue on White.
- For a Regal Look
- Add touches of gold leaf, using (Gold Size & Metal Loose Leaf)
- Roll on metallic paints,
- or dab on gilding wax.

- Faux Bone Inlay : Use Pearlescent glaze over the top of a White, cream, or pink with Chalk Paint™. Allow to dry, and follow with Pearlescent Glaze for an authentically Indian mother of pearl look!
